Community Commitment

Watch what we can do together.

Community is the cornerstone of all we do at Sandfire. We’re committed to partnering with stakeholders to establish business models and procedures that positively impact the local community. Through transparency, collaboration, and stewardship, we aim to create opportunities for all to prosper for generations.

Local Community

We work with the community to develop infrastructures that allow for healthy, vibrant growth for years to come.

Investing in Montana’s People

Sandfire is committed to supporting the long-term prosperity and legacy of the communities where we operate. We have built positive relationships with local stakeholders, and, together, create opportunities for the community to flourish into the future. We want our actions to add value, such as conserving the environment and increasing local revenue. Through local hiring, education, and input, we seek to support the economic and personal well-being of the community. Human Rights

Creating a Place for People to Thrive

At Sandfire, we hold ourselves to high standards of respect and ethics to better care for our employees, the communities we work in, and stakeholders impacted by our operations. We seek to cultivate a culture where diversity is celebrated, everyone is welcomed, and differences are valued. We do not tolerate any human rights abuses within our operations or our business partners, and we engage with stakeholders to understand and quickly address potential effects of our operations on human rights.

Our Project

Black Butte Copper

Our goal is for Black Butte Copper to have a net positive impact on the environment, society, and economy. From the beginning through reclamation, we aim for Central Montana to prosper with the mine and for generations afterwards. We have designed and are building a state-of-the-art underground copper mine that sets a new standard in responsible development. Black Butte Copper is open for visitors to tour, and our team is happy to answer any questions. Learn more about Black Butte Copper by visiting our project page.
